20 years ago I was playing Sonic’s first adventure and couldn’t wait to get my hands on the second. My favorite of the bunch was Sonic 2 and the Sega CD version.

There is a multiplayer demo of Uncharted 3 starting on Tuesday – which I don’t play, but makes me even more eager for the game due in November.

Uncharted 3 will see protagonist Nathan Drake and mentor Victor Sullivan, travelling around the world[4] to such places as the Rub’ al Khali desert, in search of the legendary lost city, the Iram of the Pillars. Chloe Frazer and Elena Fisher will also return in Uncharted 3. The plot will draw from the archaeology days of T. E. Lawrence.[1]

Mark Wahlberg in another movie.
Back in October, Dawdle gave us some more news on the forthcoming Uncharted movie, which seems to have David O. Russell on board as both a director and writer. Today, MTV Multiplayer confirmed the casting decision of the leading man Nathan Drake: Mark Wahlberg.
For quite some time it seemed fans had been pulling for Nathan Fillion, who even expressed an interest in the role via Twitter. Personally, considering his past roles, it seemed like it would make a lot of sense given Drake’s sense of humor.

It used to be that mobile phones would receive hideous ports of popular console games, but with the surging popularity of casual gaming on mobile devices, it was only a matter of time before things started going the other way. We’ve seen games like Cake Mania make the move, but now the biggest mobile game of the past year, Angry Birds, is going to launch itself at the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii!
I would assume that the game will be a downloadable title, but still cost far more than the mobile version. And the one platform that would seem a natural — the Nintendo DS, with its touch-screen controls — isn’t on the list. Angry Birds is slated to land on your console in 2011, and Rovio naturally has Angry Birds 2 in the works, where the pigs apparently aren’t just going to stand there and take the abuse.
All it sees is money, not good games.
Points for style, Microsoft, crossing the 2.5 million Kinect sensors sold mark a convenient 25 days into your global sales of that ever-so-hackable / sometimes-cool-for-gaming item. This number factors in Black Friday sales from this past weekend, and has us really curious as to how well Sony has been doing of late…
Is it Sony’s play against the Wiimote, or the Kinect… or both? Hard to say exactly, but there’s no question that the PS3 is no longer on the outside looking in when it comes to motion gaming. Now that it’s been on the market for a few months, we’re looking to hear from early adopters…
